Sustainable and locally harvested lumber make up the bulk of the wood used. The walls are entirely straw and clay, Adobe/stone tile comprise the floors.The clay and straw walls provide a natural system where air and vapor can move through the walls balancing humidity and improving interior air quality as well as being attractive.

Our lovely home is built with smart, efficient design and the highest level of craft.Clay plasters, timber framed wrap around porches, adobe floors, hand crafted cabinets and doors built in the on site shop. Stone tile throughout and excellent passive solar.Together these elements combine to make a home that is functional, comfortable and beautiful. Outside every door you will find extensive vegetable and perennial flower gardens with over 50 fruiting trees and bushes. The gardens and nursery are well situated with irrigation which is drawn from a large pond fed by water rights.The pond doubles as a fun retreat on a hot day. The nursery is situated beyond the gardens to provide a comfortable distance between work and home. There is 5000 square feet of covered green house and 12000 square feet of outside shade structure.The nursery is run by the proprietor and one and a half seasonal employees. The season runs from mid February to mid September. Providing organic herbs, perennial flowers and vegetable starts to the local market.The price of the property is of course based in part on the value of the business so we are willing to discuss the financial details with seriously interested party's.We assume that a new owner will require some amount of orientation which we can provide.
