Property Description

Uniquely designed custom earth-bermed home. 1520 sq ft with 20 x 10 solar collector pool, 2 beds, 2 baths and bonus room with open floor plan. Very private yard. The solar system has about 8000 feet of radiant heat pipes under the floor that carried the solar-heated water from the pool to heat the house and provide hot water. There is a propane backup tank for hot water when there is not enough sun. The solar system does need to be upgraded as it is about 28-years old and currently not working. There is a Fijitsu mini-split (heat/AC) system which we installed in November as a back-up system. Because of the tremendous thermal mass of the 12-inch thick concrete walls and its earth-bermed character, the house does not get as cold as a conventional house, or as hot in summer.
