On-site rainwater harvesting system supporting water efficiency. The home features an operational rainwater harvesting system with a 1,300-liter storage tank, designed to support non-potable water use and reduce dependence on municipal water sources. This system is part of the home’s integrated sustainability strategy and provides a scalable foundation for increased water resilience if expanded in the future.

Anaerobic biodigester with verified greenhouse gas capture. The property includes an on-site anaerobic biodigester that transforms organic waste into renewable biogas used for cooking, significantly reducing or eliminating the need for LP gas. This system is part of a voluntary carbon market project and has been audited under the Gold Standard framework. The biodigester captures approximately 9 metric tons of CO₂ per year, with verified carbon credits issued last year. In addition to energy generation, the system produces organic biofertilizer (biol) used to nourish the on-site permaculture garden, creating a fully circular waste-to-energy-to-food system.
