This authentic adobe passive solar house is located near the orchards and vineyards of East Orchard Mesa. Designed by an architect, the house was built with adobe bricks from Arizona. The interior is graced with vigas, latillas, carved lintels, a wood burning kiva firplace, curved wooden doors and 8 inch deep wooden sills on the south facing windows. A natural gas ceramic stove provides back-up heat in the winter. There is an adobe wall surrounding the front of the property and the 1.65 acres are irrigated by the Colorado River.
