Sandy Valley has about 3,000 residents but is a small community with four churches, a post office, a general store, a library, a bar, a community center and a park. School District

There are K-12 schools and the week is M-Th so only a four day school week.

Community

People are good neighbors but keep to themselves for the most part. There are holiday events and parades in the community and many active members in the various social and community groups.
