Property Description

Cash purchase only...Unless buyer has a lender that will loan on a 100% off-grid property.

This off-grid house is constructed using 7 inch wide solid burnt adobe bricks and was specifically calculated and designed as an off-grid home. This house features the correct amount of overhang to successfully shade the house during the peak hours of summer days with large low-E double pane windows to allow cross ventilation air flow, and those same large windows provide passive solar heating in the winter when the sun is lower in the sky.

The house is located on a 0.67 acre parcel (Parcel 40629623A) and the sale includes an additional 0.33 acre parcel (Parcel 40629621) which is directly adjacent to the house parcel making it a total of 1 acre and is located approx. 4 miles north of the city of Douglas, Arizona in Cochise County. This location provides a peaceful, rural setting that is only minutes to Douglas with all the basic services you need and is also relatively close to shopping/activities/services that the cities of Bisbee, Tombstone, and Sierra Vista offer.

Douglas

Douglas has numerous community facilities including an indoor aquatic center, art gallery, seven parks, an 18-hole golf course, tennis and racquetball courts, a recreation center, public library, Cochise College and affiliated University of Arizona course offerings, plus an impressive list of community programs and activities for its citizens.

Cochise County

Cochise County is home to a rich native history and old time western lore. The County spreads out across dry grasslands to the fantastic rocky spires of the Chiricahua Mountains and the mountains of Coronado.

The house is at an altitude of 4,200 ft providing comfortable year-round temperatures and an average of 285+ days of sun every year.

The House

Sit and enjoy the astonishing sunrises as the morning sun’s glow ascends over the Saddle Gap Mountains while enjoying your cup of coffee or tea. Do a bit of exploring during the days and take in all that the area has to offer. Explore the Chiricahua Wilderness, Leslie Canyon National Wildlife Refuge, and the Chiricahua National Monument and Coronado National Monument all nearby. As your days wind down enjoy the magnificent sunsets as the sun descends over the Mule Mountains, and the dark nights interrupted only by the countless stars, and drift off to sleep with the tranquil sounds of nature.

Enjoy the benefit and peace of mind of living in this completely off-grid home which provides you with free electricity as you are your own on-site electric company so you never have to worry about interruption of service (power outage) or electricity rate increases.
