Off Grid electric powered by Solar Panels uses no fossil fuels for heating, cooling, and general electrical needs. Tromb Walls collect heat by day and radiate warmth in the evening throughout the winter. Super insulated! Ceiling is R60, walls are R50, and the foundation is R60. The House is wired so that you can switch off all AC current in walls near living and sleeping areas, thus no harmful electro magnetic radiation in your sleep. The house is wired with AC an DC outlets throughout. No off-gassing tar paper used in the walls. Well is also solar powered. 6000 gallons of roof water catchment cuts way down on amount of well water needed. Excellent Passive Solar design combined with super insulation and interior mass floors and walls requires very little heating in Winter and stays nice and cool in the Summer.
